The Silver Britannia

The Silver Britannia coin was issued in 1997, ten years after the first mintage of the Gold Britannia coin. It was issued first as a proof set then later on as separate Brilliant Uncirculated Bullion. The Silver Britannia is struck using the "Britannia Silver" alloy which contains .958 millesimal fineness silver. The coin is offered in four denomination, 1 troy ounce, 1/2 troy ounce, 1/4 troy ounce and 1/10 troy ounce.

The reverse design features the fixed design of the Standing Britannia in odd number years whereas in even number years, the reverse designs varies.
